The Discovery Shops are quality resale shops of new and gently used merchandise generously donated by businesses and individuals. Every item is carefully screened for quality. The shops are staffed entirely by volunteers and your contribution to the Discovery Shop is tax deductible.

Roanoke Discovery Shop
The Roanoke Discovery Shop opened in 1995 and is recognized as the place in the Roanoke Valley to find quality clothing and home furnishings at irresistible prices. Shoppers will delight in the beautiful designer clothing, unusual and vintage jewelry, fine collectibles, shoes, bridal and prom gowns, furs, furniture, home accessories -- and even the occasional highly valuable antique. The Roanoke Discovery shop is located just off I-581 in the Townside Shopping Center near Montano's.
Discovery Shop at Smith Mountain Lake
The Discovery Shop at Smith Mountain Lake opened in September, 2004, and is located in the Plaza Shopping Center, near Dairy Queen, Rt. 616 Scruggs Road. The Smith Mountain Lake Discovery Shop is dedicated to fashions for the home and does not carry clothing. The shop is the destination for finding incredible bargains on home furnishings, furniture, art and collectibles, household items, small and large appliances, sporting goods and fitness equipment, tools and garden accents, costume and fine jewelry, and books and music.
